   CH 231- Quantitative Analysis        

Principles and techniques of elementary chemical analysis and introduction to instrumental methods. Class work is devoted to equilibrium theory, spectrophotometry, electrometric methods, and chromatography, and development of problem solving.
Laboratory: The program includes representative volumetric, spectrophotometric, electrometric and chromatographic techniques. Computer methods of data analysis and plotting are introduced. Emphasis is on development of analytical skills, proper laboratory record keeping, and professional outlook on laboratory work. Offered in the January Term.
