A little bit about me:
As of September, 2004 I returned to the teaching side and serve as a full time Assistant Professor in the Physics & Engineering Department in the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Division at Eastern Nazarene College (ENC). Prior to this I served as Director of Information Technology (IT) in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department Although I have been a faculty member at ENC since 1983, from 1994 to 2004, I worked in a full-time administrative capacity, with some occasional teaching when called upon during this period. My educational background includes a BS in Physics from ENC (1978), and an MS in Computer Engineering from Boston University (1989).
My interests? I am at home in the 21st century world of science and technology, but wish I could time travel and play in the 12th century. I have an intense interest in the middles ages (later half, 11th to 16th centuries), especially in the workings and development of Christendom in general, and monasticism in particular. I am a Benedictine Oblate affiliated with Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham, MA. I am a bibliophile (I love books...collecting, reading, touching...it is such a pleasant vice). I love foreign travel, especially if it means Europe.
