Advanced Microcomputer Interfacing

Overview:       This course provides an introduction to 8-bit microcomputers and some interfacing techniques.  Topics include microcomputer organization and architecture, machine and assembly language programming, and interfacing peripheral devices.  This course assumes you have already had a course in digital logic.

Attendance:  Regular attendance is expected.  Homework is accepted only during class.

 

Tests:            Three tests will be given along with a comprehensive final exam scheduled by the             Registrar.

 

Homework:   Assignments are due during the class       following the completion of the unit.       Absolutely NO late homework will be accepted.

 

Grading:        (3) Tests            60%                 Final Exam       10%
