The prioress’s tale     A Chamber opera in one act

Now that The Prioress’s Tale has received its fully staged premiere, the project lives on in a touring version with minimal set-pieces  and technical requirements.     Suitable for performance in a church, synagogue, concert hall, or large classroom, this smaller version provides a remarkable opportunity for audiences across New England to explore issues of religious intolerance and Jewish-Christian relations.

During the 2008-2009 season, the piece will be performed at Yale University and in Newton, Massachusetts, in a production jointly sponsored by Hebrew College and Andover-Newton Theological School.

Tax-deductible donations to support these performances of the opera may be made by writing a check to Eastern Nazarene College, ear-marked for the “Music Department Special Events Fund”.   The mailing address is: Eastern Nazarene College, Office of Development, 23 East Elm Ave, Quincy, MA, 02170.
