Nancy Ross • Associate Professor • Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Psychology and Sociology • General Education Division Chair

Prof. RossNancy Ross serves as the chair of the division of general education. She is responsible for forming the division and managing the process of curriculum reform in this area. In addition, Ross works with the academic dean on the institutional report that is made to the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Her expertise is in experimental cognitive psychology, which includes topics such as attention, memory, and decision-making. Since coming to ENC in January of 1997, she has primarily taught research/statistics courses. Dr. Ross is the advisor to the ENC chapter of Psi Chi National Honor Society. She also finds time to sing on the worship team at Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Quincy. She lives in Quincy.

Wayne C. Griffin • Instructor • Sociology

Prof. GriffinA graduate of ENC, Professor Griffin came back to teach for many reasons. For instance, as a minority, he feels that his presence at the college demonstrates the efforts ENC is making to become more diverse. Prof. Griffin has been teaching since 1992 and became a full-time faculty member in 2002. Courses he has taught include “Human Diversity” and “Non-Western Cultures.” He loves the harmony he has found with the students of ENC due to their shared morals and beliefs. He has previous business experience doing marketing for Quincy’s city newspaper, The Patriot Ledger, and was a social worker for the City of Quincy. For two years he served on the Minority Diversity Committee for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. He lives with his wife in Hingham, Mass.

Janese Free • Part-Time • Psychology & Sociology

Prof. FreeProfessor Free has been teaching part-time at ENC for the past seven years. She teaches courses such as “Criminology,” “Criminal Justice,” “Family Violence,” and “Deviance.” Previous to working at ENC, Professor Free was a victim advocate for three years at the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, and for two years she worked at the Dorchester Community Roundtable doing non profit work fighting domestic violence. Also, she currently is a graduate instructor at Northeastern University.
