- Museum of Science – The mission of the Museum of Science, Boston is to stimulate interest in and further understanding of science and technology and their importance for individuals and for society.
To accomplish this educational mission, the staff, volunteers, overseers and trustees of the Museum are dedicated to attracting the broadest possible spectrum of participants, and involving them in activities, exhibits and programs which will:
- encourage curiosity, questioning and exploration,
- inform and educate,
- enhance a sense of personal achievement in learning,
- respect individual interests, backgrounds and abilities, and
- promote life-long learning and informed and active citizenship.
All this is offered in the spirit that learning is exciting and fun at the Museum of Science.
- Current Science and Technology Center – The Current Science & Technology Center is a place where you can find out more about science and technology in the news... and catch up on the leading edge in research and exploration. Located in the Blue Wing of the Museum of Science, Boston, the Center offers exhibits, live events, video, animation, digital updates and live links to researchers in the field.
- Department of Chemistry at Boston University - The Department has 24 tenure-track faculty members engaged in graduate and undergraduate education and research. All are highly accessible to students and provide mentoring and guidance for education and research. Over the years, the faculty has received numerous teaching and science awards. Recent examples include the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society, the Bristol-Myers Squibb Award in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, and the Gitner Award for Excellence in Teaching.
- Chemistry Department of Boston College - Boston College's Chemistry Department is located in the Eugene F. Merkert Chemistry Center. Opened in 1991, the Merkert Center is a standard of laboratory innovation and excellence. Our research community includes 18 faculty, over 100 graduate students, 25 postdoctoral fellows and many undergraduates who work side-by-side in the laboratories. On these pages you will be introduced to the staff, the people in the main and business offices and the scientific support staff.
- American Chemical Society - The American Chemical Society is a self-governed individual membership organization that consists of more than 159,000 members at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry. The organization provides a broad range of opportunities for peer interaction and career development, regardless of professional or scientific interests. The programs and activities conducted by ACS today are the products of a tradition of excellence in meeting member needs that dates from the Society's founding in 1876.
