What was your experience when you first came here?
When coming to ENC for my freshman year of college it felt home to me. Yes, I had been to ENC before for different youth events, and a lot of my family has come here, but that doesn't have the major push behind this feeling of being home. It feels like this is where God wants me to be and that is what is most important to me when I am struggling. At ENC I feel I am living my life in the center of where God wants me to be.

What was your experience when you first came here?
When I first walked through the open gates, I just felt like this place was my home. From day one, I was kind of nervous about meeting new people, but that nervous feeling immediately flew away, because everybody was (and still is) so welcoming! So far, I love the college experience I have had here. I have made so many friends, and I feel like I have grown since I came here! I am growing personally, academically, and spiritually!

What was your experience when you first came here?

I was already very familiar with the school before attending so I did not feel like I would be surprised by anything as a freshman. I had an awakening my freshmen year but for the better. More good comes out of the school than I thought could. There was much more individual opportunity for great things than I knew.

Favorite ENC Activity: Playing on the basketball and baseball team at ENC

How have you grown from participating in campus activities (sports, theater, music, clubs, work, etc.)?
Through playing college basketball and baseball at ENC, I have learned many life lessons that I will take with me after college. One of the most important lessons I have learned is that all people will face adversity every day in some form. It is all about how you respond to this adversity that defines the character of an individual, though. I have also learned what it takes to be a college head basketball coach, which is my dream job.

In terms of spiritual development, how have the chapel services, student ministries, etc. at ENC helped you grow?

In what ways have the professors in your major reached out to the students personally, academically, and/or spiritually?
My advisor, who is also one of my main professors, truly cares about my future once I graduate college. She makes sure to help me in any way possible whether it is with my class work, finding an internship or even reminding me about how my faith fits into my work here. I don't know what I would do without her

Have you had any big experiences from attending ENC?
The Fusion trip to Honduras was such a great experience. I learned about God's love in so many different ways. I was so blessed by his people and their worship. My heart was broken and encouraged through God's compassion and love for his people and for me. My heart was open to God's calling in my life and some possibilities of what that may look like the future.

In what ways have the professors in your major reached out to the students personally, academically, and/or spiritually?
My professors have made large impacts on me, both spiritually and academically. The professors in the physics/engineering and math departments are always pushing me and stretching me academically. I am constantly forced to try my best and think about things in new ways in order to better understand the material being taught. They are always pushing me to be the best student I can be. Spiritually, it has been amazing to me how much my professors have impacted me. Even professors who are in the department but who I have never had have made some of the largest impacts on my life.

How have you experienced the ENC community?
The best example in which I have experienced the ENC community at full force was at the playoff basketball game at Curry my freshman year. Even though we were playing at Curry's home court, we had the entire ENC community completely filling up the bleachers on our side and standing on the sidelines watching the game.

How have you grown from participating in campus activities (sports, theater, music, clubs, work, etc.)?
Specifically, having a chance to participate in the theater department through the musical has given me an exciting opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, and develop a rewarding finished product in conjunction with many others from the student body. My positions in various clubs, such as the Social Work Club, have helped me gain practical leadership experience. Being a part of the women's tennis team has given me a chance to push myself athletically.

Since coming, in what ways has ENC helped you grow?
ENC has literally given me a relationship with God that I never thought I would ever have. Before coming to college, I had very little understanding about religion and my own faith. A major impact on my growth is because of Dr. Shelter and the astounding job he does at directing the choir and chamber singers to not only sing beautifully, but to understand the beauty in the words we are singing.

How have you grown spiritually through the chapel services, student ministries, and activities at ENC?
