<description>More than 300 people are expected to attend a series of events during Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 10, 11, and 12) to celebrate the centennial of Worcester’s St. George Hellenic Benefit Society of Tsamantas, Inc., a fraternal organization founded by Greek immigrants from the village of Tsamantas in Northwest Greece in 1908. The events also honor Greek-American immigration, and examine issues of identity and belonging for all immigrants.</description>

He is widely considered to be one of the best historical essayists in America, and he is a remarkably gifted speaker. His lecture is titled "Is There Moral Progress in History? Three Christian Views." It will be held Munro Poetry Room, Friday, Sept. 19 3:30 pm. It is co-sponsored by the History Department and The Historical Society. </description>
