Counseling

Counseling is a process undertaken by people to work toward change and healing. 

Sometimes the process of counseling is painful because it encourages people to make an honest assessment of what is hurting in their lives. But the goal of counseling is to work toward wholeness and well-being. 

Reasons to Seek Counseling:

  • death of a loved one 
  • divorce 
  • concerns about drug use 
  • depression 
  • anxiety 
  • eating disorders 
  • family tension 
  • academic stress 
  • difficulty adjusting to school 
  • difficulty with a relationship or friendship 
  • sexual trauma 
  • low self-esteem 
  • stress 
  • and many others . . . 
Services Provided by The Brickley Center 
  • Individual counseling 
  • Couples counseling 
  • Family counseling 
  • Group counseling 
  • Pre-marital counseling 
  • Consultation and seminars to student groups, and college faculty and staff 
Confidentiality 
All communications between a client and counselor are confidential within the mandates of Massachusetts State Law. 

Fees:

Traditional Undergraduate 
First seven sessions are free, additional sessions are $8.00 per session 

Adult Studies and Graduate Students 
First session is free, additional sessions are $20.00 per session 

Alumni/ae 
First session is free, additional sessions are $40.00
