Information

JR, Danielle Koers-Women's Soccer

Danielle, despite being double and triple teamed in most every game this year, managed to finish the season with 13 goals and 6 assists this year, good for 32 points.  Danielle finished in the top 5 of 8 different categories first in assists and assists/game.  Koers was third amongst all TCCC players with 13 goals scored and tied for 1st with 6 assists.  The feat is even more impressive when considering she was hindered in a two week stretch with a groin strain.

Perhaps the most compelling argument is to look at the athlete's surrounding her in all categories, each one coming from a team who had finished in the top half of the conference while ENC had finished second to last.  The level of support surrounding these players being greater than what Danielle had available.

JR, Kate McNally-Women's Cross Country

Kate was Runner of the Week in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) September 24th, 2007.  She crossed the line 8th in a 58 runner field at the Elms College Blazer Invitational.  In posting a career best finish, McNally traversed the 5 K course in 22:56.

Kate continued to lead the Crusaders all season, producing her best time of the season at the Emmanuel College Invitational @ Franklin Park on October 12th when she produced a 22:16 5K course time.

SR, Emily Metcalfe-Women's Tennis

Emily recorded a near perfect doubles record this year going 9 and 2 (paired with Amy Casey mostly), only losing her final two matches of the season against Gordon and Endicott College's, Endicott being TCCC runner up in the Playoff's.

SR, Allison Nowland-Women's Tennis

Allison achieved a singles record of 9 wins and 5 losses mostly at #5 singles for the Crusaders.  In three matches that went into 3 sets, Allison pulled out victories in all three.  In doubles she earned a 4-6 record at #2 doubles (paired with Jillian Farrester).

JR, Rebekah Sorensen-Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball

Rebekah is a three sport athlete.  In Volleyball she fulfilled several different roles very successfully.  She tallied 126 kills while hitting, 98 assists as a setter, 51 aces that put her at 11th in the TCCC and she finished with 163 digs defensively for the team.

When healthy for the Basketball Team, she started as point guard and was asked to bring the ball up the court, run the offense and often times guard opponents best ball handler.

Her versatility is evident in Softball too, as she pitches and plays the infield, third base or shortstop, while hitting in the five whole for the team.
