Two much-acclaimed speakers kick off 2009 History Lecture Series

George Marsden
Duke Divinity School professor Lauren Winner and Harvard Divinity School professor George Marsden begin the 2009 History Department lecture series. Winner speaks Feb. 17 on her forthcoming book, a study of material culture, religious practice, and household piety in early Virginia. Marsden speaks Feb. 19 on Jonathan Edwards, the 18th century theologian of whom he wrote a Bancroft Prize winning book.
Both lectures will be in Shrader Lecture Hall at 7:00 p.m.
