RSS FeedQUINCY, MA March 19, 2008–A two-person adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will be performed at Eastern Nazarene College. They will present the play about love, faith, courage, and giving while struggling to fight for control of Narnia. It will be performed Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, April 26 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  There will also be performance workshops for ENC students on Saturday, April 26, 9 a.m. to noon.

This version of C.S. Lewis’ classic story created by le Clanche du Rand is filled with thrill and excitement for an audience of any age.

“I am looking forward to the production. It should be thrilling to see how just two actors bring all those wonderful parts to life; blending simplicity, honesty and versatility with audience imagination,” said Michael Ballard, a theatre professor at ENC and co-producer of the show.

Friends of the Groom actors, Tom Long, Jocelyn Sluka, and Stephanie Cotton-Snell will be conducting workshops for students focusing on drama for and in a church setting. Participants will learn new techniques and have the opportunity to try out new skills in hands-on workshops.

The two players are from The Friends of the Groom Christian Theatre Company, a Cincinnati-based professional theater company committed to communicating the Christian message through theater.
