ENC Choral Union Presents Free Performances of Handel's Messiah

ENC Choral Union Presents Free Handel’s Messiah Concerts(Quincy, MA) For the 75th consecutive year, The Eastern Nazarene College Choral Union, a 70-voice choir composed of students and community members, will perform Handel’s magnificent oratorio Messiah at two free concerts at Wollaston Church of the Nazarene.  The performances will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 pm and Sunday, December 7, at 6 pm.  More information, including directions, may be found at www.enc.edu, www.wconaz.org, or by calling 617-745-3715.  The church is a ten-minute walk from the Red Line (Wollaston stop/Braintree train).  Free on-street parking is available.

Conducted by ENC faculty member Delvyn Case, the ENC Choral Union will be joined by a 25-member professional chamber orchestra and internationally-recognized bass-baritone Bulent Guneralp. 

Equally at home in opera or musical theater, Bülent Güneralp,  has performed as soloist in many operas, oratorios and concerts with organizations including CRR Symphony Orchestra in his native Istanbul, Turkey; Tokyo City Opera Orchestra in Japan; Hudson Valley Philharmonic and Opera Company of the Highlands in NY; Orient Heights Music, Mass Theatrica, Opera del West, Longwood Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, Masterworks Chorale and Riverside Theatre Works in MA, at venues including Atatürk Culture Center, CRR Concert Hall and Yıldız Palace in Istanbul; Bardavon Opera House in NY; Symphony Hall, Sanders, Zeiterion and Riverside Theaters in MA. 

Eastern Nazarene College is a four-year, Christian liberal-arts college located in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy, two blocks from Wollaston Beach and two blocks from the Red Line.  It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees to over 1200 students.  The Music Department offers ten different majors, including performance (all instruments), theory, composition, music business, music recording, and church music.
