ENC Choral Union Sang Handel's Messiah for Quincy Elementary School Students

Quincy, MA Nov. 27, 2007 — On Tuesday Nov. 27 from 12 to 1 p.m., the Eastern Nazarene College Choral Union, a 50-voice choir comprised of students and community members, presented selected choruses and arias from Handel’s Messiah at Beechwood Knoll Elementary School in Wollaston. Children and parents from the broader Quincy community enjoyed the performance.

The outreach performance is part of a new arts partnership between the two institutions in which ENC music students perform after-school concerts to elementary school students on a monthly basis.

The performance of Handel’s Messiah featured acclaimed soprano soloist and ENC faculty member Gayle Berman. The Choral Union will be accompanied by string quartet. The group is conducted by Delvyn Case, an associate professor of music at the college.
