ENC Choral Union to perform Honegger's King David

Quincy, MA, April 11, 2007 — Arthur Honegger's dramatic choral work King David will be performed by the Eastern Nazarene College Choral Union on Sunday, April 15, at 6 pm at Wollaston Church of the Nazarene in Quincy. Admission is free.

One of the great masterworks of the choral literature, King David tells the riveting life story of the famous Israelite king, including his battle with the giant Goliath, his defeat of King Saul, the death of his son Absalom, and his affair with Bathsheba. Director of Multicultural Services Robert Benjamin and Communication Arts Professor Eunice Ferreira will narrate this epic tale. The Choral Union will also be joined by soprano Gayle Berman, mezzo-soprano Susan Forrester, tenor Martin Kelly, and a professional orchestra.
