In June 2005, Dr. Fen Wang accepted the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science and will join ENC's faculty this coming fall. Welcome Dr. Wang!   In June 2005, Dr. Stephen Lovett's article Orthogonal and Symplectic Analogues of Determinantal Ideals was accepted for publication in the Journal of Algebra.   For the first time since 1962 Dr. Hammerstrom is not in school for the spring semester 2005. He is taking a sabbatical at this time. Dr. Hammerstrom is using the time to study Maple and improve his website writing skills. He plans to incorporate both in his next semester’s classes. He has also using this time to submit two small journal articles for publication, one in Calculus and one in Number Theory. He has then spent his Saturdays helping some 8th graders in Quincy prepare for the math part of the MCAS.   Recent graduate Dave Constantine (Math ’04) received a full ride fellowship at the University of Michigan. During his the summer of his junior year while at ENC, Dave did research on Poincare-Birkoff-Witt algebras culminating in an article that will be published in ...   The math and computer science departments are excited to graduate Michael Magrans in math, Jon Hale and Erti Bimbashi in computer science, and Joe Donahue and Aadit Sitaula in Management Information Systems (MIS). Congratulations!
