About JUMP
JUMP stands for Jesus Understands Messed-up People, and we believe it accurately represents not only the personality of the students involved in the ministry, but the condition of those we are trying to save. The teams meet once a week for about an hour and a half for team prayer, fellowship, and practice. Most of fall semester is spent in assigning and reheasing skits, then in the spring we go out to churches all across the region to lead and participate in services, youth events, and whatever ministry opportunites we can find.
Although drama is our primary medium for ministry, we have students of all skill levels and all majors participate. Some are heavily involved in theatre and drama productions already and offer their talents to this ministry, while others get involved having minimal - or no - experience. Anyone who is willing is welcome to join with us in building up God's Kingdom.
This year, the JUMP Drama Coordinator is Timothy Troxler. Functioning as a liaison between event planners and the group directors, Tim responds to all event and information requests. Feel free to contact him to request a ministry group.
