These instructions will enable you to connect to the ENC network in your dorm room. If you are unable to connect to the internet after following the instructions, call the ITS HelpDesk at Ext:3727 during normal business hours (M - F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

• Mozilla Firefox

Next, click on the LAN Settings button. A new window will appear labeled Local Area Network (LAN) Settings. Uncheck the box next to “Automatically detect settings”.

Now, click OK at the bottom of the window. Exit from Internet Explorer and then restart it. You should now be on-line.

Your browser should now be configured. Point it to a new website address to confirm that it is actually going out on the Internet. You are done with ResNet installation! Have fun!!

Mozilla Firefox Users

At the top menu bar, click on Tools. A drop-down menu will appear. Scroll down and select Options. A new window will open with the title Options as shown below.

Next, click on the Advanced tab. Click on the Network tab.

Click on Settings.Put a check in the box next to “Auto-detect proxy settings for this network."

Now, click OK at the bottom of the window. Exit from Mozilla Firefox and then restart it. You should now be on-line.

Your browser should now be configured. Point it to a new website address to confirm that it is actually going out on the Internet. You are done with ResNet installation! Have fun!!
