Next, click on the
LAN Settings button. A new window will
appear labeled Local Area Network (LAN)
Settings. Put a check in the box next
to “Automatically detect settings”.

Now, click OK
at the bottom of the window. Exit from Internet
Explorer and then restart it. You should now
be on-line.
Your browser should now
be configured. Point it to a new website address
to confirm that it is actually going out on
the Internet. You are done with ResNet installation!

Mozilla
Firefox Users
At the top menu bar, click on Tools.
A drop-down menu will appear. Scroll down and
select Options. A new window
will open with the title Options
as shown below.
Next, click on Connection
Settings. A new window will open labeled
Connection Settings.Put
a check in the box next to “Automatic
proxy configuration URL”, and
enter http://pac.enc.edu in
the box labeled Address as shown below.
Now, click OK
at the bottom of the window. Exit from Mozilla
Firefox and then restart it. You should now
be on-line.
Your browser should now
be configured. Point it to a new website address
to confirm that it is actually going out on
the Internet. You are done with ResNet installation!

Netscape
Users
At the top menu bar, click
on Edit. A drop-down menu will
appear. Scroll down and select Preferences.
A new window will open with the word Preferences
at the top left corner as shown below.
On the left side of
the window you will see a few options listed
under the term Category. Click
on the Advanced button (the
little “+” sign in a box) to expand
it. Once expanded, select Proxies.
A new screen labeled Proxies will appear in
the same window to the right of the left Category
list. Click the “Automatic Proxy
configuration URL” button and
type in that space below http://pac.enc.edu
as shown below.

Once you have entered this, press Reload
and then OK to exit the Preferences
screen. Exit from
the Netscape Browser and then restart it. You
should now be on-line.
Your browser should now
be configured. Point it to a new website address
to confirm that it is actually going out on
the Internet. You are done with ResNet installation!
