Viruses
(real and hoaxes) are an ever-growing problem
on the Internet, and present an ever-growing
problem for end-users and IT departments. Through
a site-license acquired by ITS, ENC provides
Sophos Anti-Virus software to the College community
at no cost to the individual.
In order to install Sophos on your computer,
your computer will need to be connected to the
ENC network. Installation of Sophos is restricted
to current ENC students, faculty and staff only.

to configure it, click

Follow the instruction to install Sophos and
set it to automatic update.
• Right Click on My Computer.
• Click on “Map Network
Drive.”
• Type \\av\support in
the blank field.
• Check the “Reconnect on
logon” box and press OK.
• A new window will pop up with different
files and folders. Double click on the file
"goav".

•After double clicking on "goav,"
the sophos setup will begin. Click on Next.

• Check the InterCheck
Client Box and click Next.

• You will get
Installation Options next, uncheck the Auto-update
and Prevent removal
box

•You are almost
done! Click on Finish.

• The screen below
will appear on the screen confirming that Sophos
installation is taking place.

•Click on Run
Sophos Anti-Virus.

•You are now done
installing Sophos Anti-Virus software. Now you
need to run Sophos.
• Click on Start->All
Programs->Sophos Anti-Virus->Sophos
Anti-Virus.
• Next you need to configure your Sophos.
