Eastern Nazarene College's unique educational philosophy integrates the in-depth study of an academic discipline with a broad cultural awareness and human understanding. Consequently, the Adult Studies Program approaches the business major from the perspective of the liberal arts. Students focus most of their energies studying the business major in sequential fashion, and are required to take a few general courses in the natural sciences, social issues, and religious studies. This is important to connect the student's study in business with broader concerns and issues. Adult Studies students investigate the cultural and moral contexts of business in today's world, and the fundamental problems and ethical notions facing humanity. We further explore the roles of science and religious faith in our understanding of the human experience and the world around us. These topics are investigated in an effort to connect personal insights with the overall educational experience which we believe is necessary for a well-rounded education.
