The Scholars' Semester at Oxford University

ENC's top history majors have the opportunity to spend a semester studying at Oxford University as part of the Coalition of Christian Colleges and Universities Scholar's Semester program.  This competitive program offers ENC history students the valuable opportunity to study at one of the world's oldest, most prestigious universities under a range of distinguished scholars and professors.  According to the CCCU's webpage: "Applicants to The Scholars' Semester in Oxford (SSO) should be in their junior or senior year.  The Oxford tutorial style is very different from the North American system of education; many students find this a stimulating and challenging transition, requiring experience and maturity. The programme is designed to be academically rigorous.  Students are generally members of an Honors Program.  High-achieving, academically-gifted students are also encouraged to apply."  For more information on the SSO, click here.  In the Fall of 2004, ENC history majors Charla Corwin and Jennifer Ibanez participated in the program.
