Ken Miller
Dr. Ken Miller of Brown
University is one of the country's leading biologists and co-author of a widely used
high school text. Miller did his undergraduate work at Brown University
and earned his Ph.D. in 1974 from the University of Colorado. He spent
six years at Assistant Professor at Harvard University before returning
to Brown University in 1980. His research work on cell membrane structure
and function has produced more than 50 scientific papers and reviews in
leading journals, including CELL,
Nature,
and Scientific American.
Miller is co-author, with Joseph S. Levine, of three different high
school and college biology textbooks, which are used by millions of
students nationwide. He is also the author of Finding Darwin's God: A Scientist's Search
for Common Ground Between God and Evolution. He has received
five major teaching awards, and currently is Professor of Biology at
Brown University
