Dr. Jeffrey Schloss, Professor of Biology at Westmont University in California, received his Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Washington University. Interest in evolutionary theories of altruistic morality has led him to publish a series of books on the subject, including Altruism and Altruistic Love: Science, Philosophy, and Religion in Dialogue, and Evolution and Ethics: Human Morality in Biological and Religious Perspective. Dr. Schloss currently serves as Director of Biological Programs for the Christian Environmental Association. At the Seminar, he will be lecturing on purpose and evolutionary biology.
