David Basinger
has been a member of the faculty of Roberts Wesleyan College since 1979.
He currently
serves as Professor of Philosophy and Ethics, Chair of the Division of
Religion and Humanities, and Chair of the Faculty Senate. He is also
a founding faculty member of Northeastern Seminary (on the Roberts campus),
and continues to offer courses in ethics and philosophical theology on
an adjunct basis.
While most of his research
has been in the Philosophy of Religion (10 books and 85 articles), most
of his teaching is currently in applied ethics at the undergraduate and
graduate level. He frequently lectures on current ethical issues
in business and medical settings. He is currently working on a book
on ethical decision-making in today’s world, a work that will contain a
number of the more than 1500 “real life” business and medical ethical dilemmas
collected from adult students.
