PURSUE YOUR PASSION!

Are you passionate about nature and the outdoors?  Do you like working with animals, or want to conserve endangered species?   Do you want to do something about pollution and climate change, or be an advocate for environmental justice?  Are you ready to invest your life in the protection of our environment, or just want to be a better steward of creation?  If you answered YES to one or more of these questions, then consider earning a B.S. in Environmental Science or B.A. in Environmental Studies from Eastern Nazarene College.  We want to help you pursue your passion!

Welcome to the home page for the Environmental Sciences Program at Eastern Nazarene College, a Christian liberal arts college in Quincy, Massachusetts.  If you are interested in a career working with the environment, marine biology, ecology, wildlife, and/or conservation, then we have a major that will help you achieve your career goals!  We hope you will take the time to browse through our web pages to learn more about our exciting program.  Just click on the buttons on the left side of this page to begin exploring!

We believe that humanity has been given a clear mandate to care for the rest of God's creation actively through earthkeeping and service.  Our goal to train those that will live out this mandate not only personally, but professionally, by studying, conserving, and protecting the ecosystems that support all life on Planet Earth.  God wants to place young people in positions where they can make a difference for his creation as teachers, wildlife biologists, environmental consultants, waste management professionals, and corporate environmental managers.

If you want to know more about why we should care for creation, please click on the CREATION CARE button on the left side of this page.

If you would like additional information about our environmental science majors, please do not hesitate to contact Professor Jonathan Twining by calling (617) 745-3552, or by emailing him at Jonathan.E.Twining@enc.edu.  If you are ever in the area, please schedule an appointment to stop by and see us!!
