Dr.
Hall is among the most accomplished professors teaching at ENC. He has
written five books on chemistry, and as of 2003 has co-authored 112
articles for publication, many with student co-authors. He has also
given over 40 invited lectures during his career. Dr. Hall has gained
recent notoriety as the co-creator of Molconn, a piece of computer
software that has been called “revolutionary” for its impact upon
pharmaceutical and other industries. The software allows pharmaceutical
companies such as Pfizer to more easily evaluate the potency of drugs
which have not yet been made, for the purpose of determining whether or
not a drug is worth the expense of developing. Dr. Hall has been at
Eastern Nazarene since 1967, where it has been his main objective to
orient students to “think outside the textbook” in order to do current,
up-to-date research in the field of chemistry. He lives with his wife
in Quincy, and has two grown children.
