Leigh (Killberg, 96) Purinton graduated from ENC with a degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis on television production and started her career in television at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. She then moved to Los Angeles, CA and started working on television shows such as “Touched by an Angel”, “Promised Land”, “7th Heaven”, and “NYPD Blue”, as well as on multiple network television pilots. While working on “NYPD Blue”, Leigh met her future husband who also works in the industry as a Gaffer/Set Lighting Technician.  They were married in 2002. That same year, after helping launch “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Leigh began her Producing career working on projects like “Blue Collar TV”, “Foxworthy’s Big Night Out”, and several television pilots. The variety of projects from sitcoms, sketch comedy, live band performances, talk shows and one-hours all prepared her for the next steps in her career. 

In 2007, Leigh began working as a Producer on a Discovery Channel show called “Dirty Jobs” for Pilgrim Films & Television, a Los Angeles television production company. She went on to produce multiple other cable docu-reality projects for Pilgrim and was nominated for three Primetime Emmy awards for her work on “Dirty Jobs”. In 2008 Leigh and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family. After her maternity leave, she returned to Pilgrim and was promoted to Executive-In-Charge of Production. She currently oversees 8-10 television series for various networks and is involved in the day-to-day operations of each series from pre-production through delivery of each episode. Leigh has a wonderful community of friends in Los Angeles and enjoys attending the Montrose Church, a Nazarene church northeast of LA, with her husband and daughter.
