ENC Lands 32 Student-Athletes on CCC Fall Academic All-Conference Team

The Commonwealth Coast Conference announced the Fall 2013 Academic All-Conference Team. Eastern Nazarene garnered 32 honorees among 363 student-athletes recognized by the league office.

Seniors Julianne Atwater, Ryan Piesco, and Leann Williams highlighted Eastern Nazarene’s recipients as each collected their third consecutive Academic All-Conference recognition.

The Lions’ women’s soccer team led the way with eight student-athletes, including All-CCC second team honorees Amelia Gonzales and Jules Speno. The women’s soccer team also received the NSCAA Team Academic Award earlier this year.

The Eastern Nazarene men’s soccer team placed seven student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference team this year. The Lions earned the Commonwealth Coast Conference Team Sportsmanship Award this fall.

The Lions’ volleyball squad boasted five honorees while the Eastern Nazarene women’s tennis team picked up five Academic All-Conference nods. The Lions’ women’s tennis team also earned the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award in the fall.

The Eastern Nazarene cross country team garnered seven total recipients, four runners from the men’s squad and three runners representing the women’s team.

The Academic All-Conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The Fall Academic All-Conference Team encompasses student-athletes who participated in the sports of men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and volleyball.
